Elementari, Inc. ("Elementari," "we" or "us") takes the private nature of your information very seriously. This policy regarding our privacy practices (the "Privacy Policy") describes how we treat the information we collect when you visit and use elementari.io (the "Site") and/ or Elementari's other domains, services, and/or content (collectively with the Site, the "Services").

As you use our services, we want you to be clear how we're using information and the ways in which you can protect your privacy. We have tried to keep it as simple as possible, but if you are not familiar with terms like cookies, IP addresses, pixel tags and browsers, then read about these key terms (as defined by Google) first.

Please take a few moments to read this Privacy Policy. Your privacy matters to us so whether you are new to Elementari or a long-time user, please take the time to get to know our practices — and if you have any questions contact us.

Information we collect

Account Information

When signing up for an Elementari account (an "Account"), we collect personal information you submit to us to build your user profile, including but not limited to your username, password, email address, location, and personal websites. If applicable, we may collect payment information from you such as your name and credit card information. When including your display name, photo, location and bio, be aware that such information is part of your public profile and is visible to anyone who visits your profile page.

Apart from the Account Information described above, we do not collect and do not wish to receive any personally identifying information. Without limitation, you shall not submit to us any social security number, financial account number, credit or debit card number (other than payment information provided for the Service), passport or driver's license number or government ID number.

We collect and use your Account Information when you register for special services (e.g., Premium Membership), sign up for e-mail newsletters and purchase products or services. We use your Account Information to help customize advertising and content available on the Site, to send you information about products and services that may be of interest to you and/or to conduct research for internal purposes. Some features, services, and promotional opportunities that we offer may also ask you to submit Account Information to participate.

User Content

The Services allows users to upload and submit images and create stories, along with comments and other information. All data uploaded or created by users at the direction of users is referred to in this Policy as "User Content." By default all sharing through the Services is public, and when you provide us with content it is published so anyone can view it.

If you have uploaded or created User Content, you have also authorized Elementari to use some of your User Content to be used for the purpose of developing, distributing, providing, improving, marketing, and promoting the Services.

Native Actions

The Services allow you to perform native actions that are integral to our products, such as liking a story, adding it to a collection, commenting, and following users. Liking, commenting, and following are public actions – anyone can, for example, see who liked, commented, or replied to a story. We use information about native actions to improve the Services, develop new Services, and, particularly, to personalize your Elementari experience. Personalization using this information may include presenting you with new stories relevant to what you’ve liked, providing you with better search results, and showing you advertising more relevant to your interests.

Device and Log Data

Our servers automatically record certain information about how a person uses our Services (we refer to this information as “Log Data”), for both Account holders and non-Account holders (either will be referred to as a “User”).

Log Data may include information such as a User's Internet Protocol (IP) address, mobile device identifier, browser type, operating system, the pages or features of our Services to which a User browsed and the time spent on those pages or features, search terms, the links on our Services on which a User clicked, how often Users click on our advertisements, which assets are used most frequently, and which areas of our Site are the most popular and other statistics.

We use Log Data to administer the Services and to understand how well our Services are working, to store your user preferences, and to develop statistical information on usage of the Services. This helps us improve our Services, personalize your user experience, and to measure overall effectiveness. We do not correlate Log Data to individual user Personal Information, except for internal operational, product development, and administrative purposes of the Services. Some Log Data may include data, such as IP address data, that is unique to you. You may be able to modify your browser settings to alter which web tracking technologies are permitted when you use the Service, but this may affect the performance of the Services.

Like many sites, we use cookies and similar technology such as pixels and local storage to recognize you when you return to our Services. We use them in various ways, for example to log you in, remember your preferences (such as default language), show relevant ads, and personalize information.

You may also set your browser to block all cookies, including cookies associated with our services, or to indicate when a cookie is being set by us. However, it is important to remember that many of our services may not function properly if your cookies are disabled.

Some third-party services that we use, such as Google Analytics, may place their own cookies in your browser. This Privacy Policy covers use of cookies by Elementari only and not the use of cookies by third parties.

However, nothing in this Policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party's, including a government's, request to disclose your information.

Business Transfers

If Elementari is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, we will continue to ensure the confidentiality of any personal information and give affected users notice before personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those websites, and you should review the privacy statements of each third party website you visit. This Policy applies solely to information collected by the Services.

We may revise this Policy from time to time. We’ll notify you about significant changes to it.By continuing to access or use the Service after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Policy. The most current version of the Policy will always be located at elementari.io/policy.
